This weekend at Star Wars Celebration Europe, EA revealed the new Star Wars Battlefront: Death Star expansion trailer, which has already amassed over 1,000,000 views on YouTube. Needless to say, fans across the galaxy are hyped. Take a look at the trailer below:
The trailer begins with an incredible top down shot of a Star Destroyer, which then gives way to the epic Battle of Yavin, just outside the Death Star. The trailer then takes you down into a re-creation of the classic trench run scene from Episode IV: A New Hope. There will be several new maps available to play, set both outside and inside the walls of the ultimate space station.
The Death Star expansion will also give people a chance to play as fan-favorite Chewbacca, as well as the reptilian bounty hunter Bossk1. Also included are new weapons, vehicles, cards, and several other goodies.
The fourth and final piece of DLC for Star Wars: Battlefront was also announced at Star Wars Celebration Europe – Rogue One: Scarif. This last expansion will be based on the upcoming film by Gareth Edwards, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, with Scarif being the name of the planet where the film is set to take place.
In addition to the two new DLCs, they announced a new game mode free for all players, titled Skirmish. Skirmish will grant players the ability to play two of Battlefront‘s most popular game modes, Walker Assault or Fighter Squadron, on any difficulty of their choosing without going online. The player can play solo, or even with cooperative split screen (console only). Along with Skirmish comes another Hutt Contract to unlock as well.
The Death Star DLC is due out this fall, while the Rogue One: Scarif DLC is currently slated for a December release.
